Character Design Sketch

This is a character design sketch of an arctic creature of unknown origin. It was made in 3d Max. For this project I focussed on experimenting with physical cloth simulation, animation and particle simulations.

Tasks

My tasks here were to create an impression of an arctic environment and a blizzard, with documentary-like camera movementsas well as the design of a bizzare creatue. In order to create the alien I applied cloth simulation to the animal's interior organs, and the breathing organs are made using morph targets (blended shapes). The snow was done using a displacement map.
